Bossing hub
Choose your next boss, not just a boss
ScapePath organises Old School RuneScape bossing around your account's progression — combat level, gear, quest unlocks and mechanical difficulty — rather than an alphabetical list. Compare every boss below, then open a guide for the exact requirements, gear setups and mechanics. Everything works without an account; sign in and link your RuneScape name to see which bosses you're ready for.

How ScapePath approaches bossing
Start with readiness. The best boss isn't always the highest gp/hr boss. A boss is worth your time when you can realistically kill it efficiently and safely — the profit only matters if you survive the trip. That's why every guide leads with requirements and readiness before rates.
Gear changes the equation. An upgrade can turn a boss you used to avoid into one of your best targets. As your setup improves, revisit fights that were previously too slow — the gear guides show which upgrades actually move the needle for each style.
Requirements matter. Quests, combat stats, skills and unlocks gate a lot of bossing. Clear the quests and train the skills a fight needs first — each boss guide lists its exact hard gates and recommended stats.
Learn mechanics before chasing efficiency. Early kills should focus on consistency and understanding the fight, not a theoretical maximum gp/hr. Rates climb naturally once the mechanics are second nature, so treat your first trips as practice.
Bossing feeds the wider loop. Boss rewards fund and unlock the rest of your account — better gear, the money makers behind each drop table, the stats you train with the calculators, and eventually the raids. That loop — bosses to gear to harder bosses — is the core of how ScapePath plans progression.

How to choose your next boss
There's no single optimal order for every account. Work through these questions instead:
- 1
What can you realistically attempt?
Start from the fights your current combat level, quests and unlocks already allow — the filters above surface these.
- 2
What does your gear and stats support?
A fight you can enter isn't always one you can kill efficiently. Match the boss to a gear setup you actually own.
- 3
What reward do you actually want?
A weapon upgrade, an armour piece, a pet or pure gp? Pick the boss whose drops move you toward that goal.
- 4
Does it improve your account?
The best target usually unlocks or funds your next step, not just this trip's loot.
- 5
Is there a better stepping stone?
A slightly easier boss that drops a key upgrade can make the fight you want far smoother.
- 6
Move up when it's justified.
Step up in difficulty once your gear, stats and mechanics comfortably clear your current target.
Bossing by account stage
A rough map, not a rulebook — move up once your stats, gear and mechanics support it.
Early game
Learn basic PvM — prayer flicking, food management and reading attack styles — on forgiving targets like Obor, Scurrius and Sarachnis. Focus on consistency and cheap, accessible upgrades over profit.
Mid game
Take on more demanding bosses that drop meaningful gear or fund your next upgrade — quest-locked solo fights such as Vorkath and Zulrah, and God Wars targets like General Graardor.
High level
Push into mechanically richer fights — Phantom Muspah, Alchemical Hydra and Cerberus — plus Wilderness bossesonce you're comfortable with the extra risk.
Endgame
Transition toward raids like Chambers of Xeric and the highest-tier solo bosses, where best-in-slot gear and refined mechanics come together.
Ways to group the bosses
The same bosses fit different goals. Use the filters above to narrow to any of these:
Accessible bosses
Low or no requirements — the place to learn PvM before anything punishes a mistake.
Slayer bosses
Killed on a Slayer task for extra value; some require a specific task to fight at all.
God Wars Dungeon
The four generals and Nex — team or duo fights dropping powerful mid-to-late gear.
Wilderness bosses
Higher risk for strong gp and unique upgrades, with PKers as an added hazard.
Quest & newer bosses
Quest-locked solo fights and recent Varlamore/Desert releases with modern reward sets.
Raids & high-level PvM
The endgame team and solo challenges that gate best-in-slot rewards.
What should I work toward?
Want better gear? Start with the bosses that realistically drop or fund your next upgrade, then follow the gear progression for each style.
Chasing raw gp? The money makers hub ranks methods, including the bosses whose drop tables carry them.
Gated by a quest? The quest guide lays out the optimal order to unlock fights like Vorkath and the newer bosses.
Short on stats? Train what a fight needs with the skilling guides and combat calculators, then come back when you're ready.
gp/hr and kill rates are conservative experienced-player estimates that vary with gear, efficiency and live Grand Exchange prices — use them to compare bosses, not as exact quotes. Requirements are verified against the OSRS Wiki.
