Strategy

  1. 1

    Bring a team

    Nex is a team boss — soloing is impractical. Run 3–5 players with clear roles, including a designated freezer who holds her still with ice spells between phases so the team keeps DPS on.

  2. 2

    Assemble the frozen key

    Access needs the frozen key — combine a shard from each of the four God Wars generals (the Frozen Door) to open the Ancient Prison.

  • Smoke phase

    Pray Magic and stand in melee distance so she uses her single-target melee instead of AoE magic; her Choke special spreads a virus between nearby players — spread out for it.

  • Shadow phase

    Pray Missiles and keep 8+ tiles away; when she calls 'Embrace darkness', stand under her to reset her position.

  • Blood phase

    Her Blood Siphon summons blood reavers and heals her while she kneels — spread to avoid splash and don't feed the siphon; kill the reavers.

  • Ice phase

    She freezes you for ~15 ticks; the Ice Prison traps players in stalagmites — break them with a stab/crush weapon before they explode.

  • Zaros phase — 'No Escape'

    The final phase strips overheads and turns on her prayers; when she dies her Wrath hits up to ~50 in a 5x5 — step out of range as she falls.
