What these activities are good for

Training. The skilling minigames — Wintertodt, Tempoross, Guardians of the Rift and Volcanic Mine — are among the best ways to train their skills, usually with an XP-boosting outfit as a bonus.

Account upgrades. Mastering Mixology unlocks tools like the Prescription goggles and Alchemist's amulet that make Herblore potion-making cheaper and more productive.

Hunter progression. Hunters' Rumours is the modern contract system for Hunter XP, unique rewards and the Quetzin pet.

Gear unlocks. Void Knight equipment, the Fighter torso and the fire and infernal capes come only from minigames, and slot straight into your gear setups for real content.

PvM preparation. The Fight Caves and Inferno are the standard tests of prayer-switching before you tackle harder bosses and raids.

Utility & cosmetics. Others exist for quality-of-life unlocks like the herb sack, or for pure collection goals — worth it when that's your actual aim.
