Giants' Foundry
Forge giant swords for XP and the Smiths' outfit
A solo Smithing minigame beneath the Giants' Plateau. You forge oversized swords from whatever bars you bring, managing heat and alloy quality for reputation. It's flexible XP that uses up spare bars of any tier, and the reputation buys the XP-boosting Smiths' outfit and quality-of-life unlocks.

Why do Giants' Foundry?
- Turns any spare bars into Smithing XP without needing a fixed high-tier bar.
- The Smiths' outfit boosts Smithing XP, paying itself back over a grind.
- Double ammo mould and ore refinements are lasting quality-of-life unlocks.
How it works
Pick a sword mould, fill the crucible with 28 bars to make an alloy, then shape the preform using the trip hammer, grindstone and polishing wheel while watching its temperature. Higher final quality means more Foundry reputation and Smithing XP per sword.

Tips & common mistakes
- Chase quality, not speed — reputation equals the sword's final quality, so a clean forge beats a rushed one.
- Match your bars to a mould you can actually finish well; mixed low-tier alloys still work fine for XP.
- Grab the Smiths' outfit early so the XP boost applies to the rest of your grind.
Who should do this?
Anyone training Smithing who wants an active, bar-flexible alternative to Blast Furnace and the outfit that speeds it all up.
