The core progression

  1. Seers ring
  2. Brimstone ring
  3. Magus ring

The ring slot is cheap to fill and easy to ignore, but the best rings give a flat stat boost that applies to every hit. This ladder spans the quest-unlocked Fremennik rings — a free, permanent baseline — up to the BiS Ultor, Magus and Venator rings for each combat style.

When to move up a tier

Grab the relevant Fremennik ring as soon as you've done the quest; it costs nothing and never becomes useless. The expensive rings are a late-game min-max: worth it once the rest of your setup is strong and you want the last few percent of damage or accuracy for a specific style.

Strict upgrades stack vertically; sidegrades are shown as branches — one is not simply better than another, they solve different problems. Independent families are kept separate rather than forced into a single ladder. Values are illustrative; composite items are valued from their components.

How to read this rings progression

ScapePath maps this category as an upgrade graph, not a single price ladder. A strict upgrade replaces the item below it — it does everything the earlier piece did and more, so owning it makes the earlier one redundant. A sidegrade sits beside its peers because it solves a different problem, and independent familiesare kept apart because they aren't on the same line at all.

This page holds 7 separate families. Buy the next rung on the line you're actually on rather than the most expensive item on the page — the goal is the upgrade that changes your kills.
