Strategy

1. 1

   Antifire first

   Drink an antifire (or use an antifire shield + potion) before engaging — KBD's dragonfire can hit 65 unprotected.

2. 2

   Bring dragonbane

   KBD counts as a dragon, so a Dragon hunter crossbow/lance's dragonbane bonus far outperforms generic weapons. Out-DPS it from a safe tile; its other attacks hit low once antifire is up.

3. 3

   Wilderness care

   The lair sits in low-level Wilderness — bring only what you'll risk and keep a teleport ready for PKers.

• Dragonfire

  Its dragonfire hits up to ~65 without protection — an antifire potion, or an antifire shield/ward, is mandatory and drops it to a chip hit.

• Three combat styles

  KBD also jabs with stab melee and can attack with ranged/magic, but all hit low once antifire is active — just tank and out-damage it.
