Why train Slayer?
Slayer is the single most important skill for a PvM account: its tasks are the only way to unlock certain monsters, the boss access behind them, and gear like the Slayer helmet and the Abyssal whip.

55 is the Slayer helmet, 75 unlocks Grotesque Guardians, 85 the Abyssal Sire, 91 Cerberus, and 95 the Alchemical Hydra. Always use the highest Slayer master you can — task quality, not just XP, is the point.
