A short loop of resetting four bird houses on Fossil Island returns bird nests (seeds, rings) plus Hunter and Crafting xp, and you can repeat it every 50 minutes.

How a run works
- Bring a clockwork, hammer, chisel, four logs of the best tier you can use (or four ready-made bird houses), seeds and a digsite pendant. Each house takes 10 low-level or 5 high-level seeds, and the seed type doesn't change the loot, so use the cheapest.
- Teleport to Fossil Island with the digsite pendant. This needs the pendant to have been used on the strange machine in the House on the Hill.
- Take the magic mushtree to Verdant Valley and do the northern spot, then the southern one.
- Take the mushtree to Mushroom Meadow, do the spot to the north, then run south to the last spot by the Tar Swamp.
- At each spot, empty and dismantle the old house (you get the clockwork back), then build a new house, place it and fill it with seeds. Bringing a spare clockwork lets you build the next house while you run.
- Birds arrive about every 5 minutes, up to 10 per house, so the houses are full roughly 50 minutes later. Come back then and repeat.
